It's time to wake up
There's been haze in your brain
that smoke keeps getting in your eyes
that you've forgotten about fighting it off and growing up
You're denying the pain
You're living a lie
Too bad there's still no rain
and you have to let something die
for it's never been sustained enough with life
This may be driving you insane,
but please realise
with or without it, you must thrive.
Don't cry
It's not meant to stay alive
Stay awake, although you'll walk these streets a lone warrior again,
but you won't be living a lie
You can only accept this as 'life'
while you're still waiting for the rain...
