It could happen to you;
that's nothing new.
One day, it's just another trip - another flight.
You may think everything will be alright,
but in the end...
what if you're not meant to see each other again?
It could happen to them,
the people you love all the same.
They tell you they'll come back soon,
after a flight past the moon,
but they never really do.
You're left with nothing but the blues.
It could happen to anyone, any of us.
It doesn't choose your wealth, religion, or race.
What makes you think it's something you'll never face?
What makes you believe it'll always be other people's loss?
Who are you to have exploited their sadness?
Who are you to condemn those lost souls you judge as deviant infidels?
It could happen,
but only God knows when.
Just like he knows who prays for the lost souls
on their last flight home...
