2012-12-24 - 8:05 p.m.

Well, after we've passed that nonsense about December 21, 2012 - here we are again. Most Indonesians have also celebrated December 22 as Mothers' Day (although I also prefer to celebrate it as Women's Day - according to the original history.)

After that, we still have Christmas - which is tomorrow - December 25. Who's up for presents? I'm not celebrating it, but I hope you guys are having fun. And of course, New Year's Eve on December 31.

So, what are you doing this long holiday? I hope all of you are lucky enough to do what you want instead of having to sacrifice all the time for other people's happiness. (But if you're happy to do both at once, then good for you!)

If you're in Bali now, I hope you get to see Adam Lambert's performance in The Mulia, Nusa Dua to light up your NYE.:D If not, well...you know you can always do something else.

Some of you are probably having a trip far away from home. Good for you. Some of you are probably staying home with your family. No problem. Everyone's got their own personal choices.

Hmm, what else? If you choose to spend this year-end holiday with your good friends or someone special, that's also wonderful. Whether you're on a trip together, staying home to watch DVDs and dine, or just having a stroll all around the city where you live. Go ahead. Take your pick while you still can.

What happens if you're on your own? What if you decide to spend this long holiday all alone?

Guess what? That's okay too. Some people may find this rather pathetic and depressing, but perhaps because they're not used to it or just unable to cope with being alone. For those who enjoy solitude as it is, there are still things you can do:

1.Be more productive.

It's a perfect time for your creative minds to flow freely! Either it's writing, crafting, drawing, or perhaps experimenting on new menus in the kitchen. It's even better if you can make an extra income out of your creativity.

2.Enjoy yourself.

You can stay home with a book or do a DVD marathon. Explore the city where you live. Pick an event or more that you're interested in, then be there. Travel alone. Besides having new experiences and getting new ideas to be more productive next year, you might find yourself a bunch of new friends along the way. It won't hurt to try!

Happy holiday!

Love,

R.
