I didn't know just what I was thinking last night. I impulsively e-mailed Mira Maruto from "Aliansi Mawar Putih" (The White Roses' Alliance) to tell her I'd agreed to help spreading the petition forms against the legalization of the new draft of bills regarding "Antipornography" before June 9. But sadly, I couldn't promise her I'd really be able to bring a lot of people in.:( You see, my family mostly disagree with the stupid draft too --- but they're rather passive and...almost ignorant. Even Mom tossed the ridiculous idea aside and said, "Oh, don't you worry too much about that. I'm sure it won't be legalized. I believe there are more people out there who disagree and will do something about it."
Right. They also forgot the fact about 'the silent majority'. Some of these people are either harrassed, threatened, terrorized, and bullied. We all know that the blind fanatics/the extremists will do just about anything to get everything they really want.:x
In other words, my family just don't take me seriously.:( In fact, they don't know I want to be really serious about all this. If they knew, I'd possibly freak them all out. They'd be afraid I might do something fatal like...getting myself killed.:|
Well, I'm afraid --- but more for my family's safety. If my involvement in this is discovered by those who disagree (but know about me and my family), I don't want my family to be harrassed, threatened, terrorized, and bullied.:(
And I know I've promised Tiger I'll be extra careful.*sighs* He's such a sweet guy...:(
Okay, I'm not going to disturb him with this --- at all. At least not until his exams are over. I don't want him to worry about anything else. He has to stay focused on his exams right now.
And I'm sure that he will...:)
I also rarely have day-offs.:P I mean, who says working in your family business means you can do whatever you like?
*sighs* Oh, well. I'll see what I can do.:|
But if I fail and the stupid, STUPID rules are being legalized --- then I'll find a way to just get the hell out of here and fight off these narrow-minded bullies. I don't care. They're supposed to be locked up in mental asylum --- maximum security. They're violent. They're just fucking crazy and selfish!
They're judgemental and mean.:'-( And dangerous too.
Damn. I'm having a headache again.
Alright, at least I still have something lighter to say about today:
I finally typed, printed, copied, and sent my short story for a local writing contest by FEMINA Magazine.:) It's their annual thing, and the prize is pretty tempting. Four millions.:O That's quite enough to help me, my family, and perhaps others less fortunate financially. (When you're able to keep your chin up, don't forget to look down --- because you might see others who might possibly need your helping hands.)
And I think I should start other contests too.:) Keep practicing, and who knows I'll get lucky.
